SENTUL THENA STORIED PAST

Sentul was founded in the late 1800s when the first Malayan Railway line opened between Taiping and Port Weld. Heralded as the home of one of the finest integrated engineering railway workshops in the world at the time, a vibrant community grew around this epicentre, rising to prominence and prosperity in tandem with the growing importance of the region’s railway system in its heyday. Diminishing economic and social dependence on rail transportation during the 1960s led to the decline of this once-illustrious railway town, until the early 2000s when YTL Land paved the way for a transformative masterplan to modernise the landscape with future purpose, whilst preserving its historic past.

SENTUL NOW A VISION OF RENEWAL

Today, an artfully sculpted skyline and stunning architectural statements define the landscape of modern Sentul. Embracing its natural beauty and cultural identity, YTL Land has infused intelligent infrastructure enhancements and strategically planned residential and commercial spaces to create an integrated way of life in a unique community, where the old blends seamlessly with the new. As part of its renewed appeal, two distinct districts capture the essence of a revitalised Sentul community. Sentul West represents the preservation of nature and history as well as the celebration of arts and culture, playing host to Sentul Park, repurposed heritage buildings, the KL Performing Arts Centre and the Sentul Depot lifestyle and events destination. Meanwhile, Sentul East represents a new urban focal point for downtown living, working and lifestyle.
